Necropolis and "Vie Cave"

The Etruscans carved their necropolis (the city of the dead) into the solid rock of the canyon's walls. The same applies to the "Vie Cave," which were drivable roads carved into the stone to connect the sides of the canyons.

The necropolis is reconstructed with the utmost accuracy: the main tombs are located in game exactly where they are found today.
In my first reconstruction the tombs were showing a rock carved surfaces as it is today. Then Vincenzo Doboloni (Mastro Cencio) showed me evidences that in reality the tombs were plastered and painted. He has then drawn by hands most of the decorations for the final reconstruction. I thank him much for his amazing support.

The "Vie Cave," were drivable roads carved into the stone to connect the two sides of the canyons. In the area of the game there were four of them. The biggest and more spectacular one was reconstructed with the greatest accuracy, in its exact position. The other three are reconstructed accurately but their positions have been shifted a bit to better fit into the game story.
