Daily life and agriculture

The agricultural area is designed as it would have been seen by a traveler of the time, with ancient wheat standing 160-180 cm tall and grapevines grown on cords stretched between elm trees.

In immersing the player in the game's historical context, everyday life plays a crucial role. I made sure to faithfully recreate all the typical daily objects documented in various Etruscan museums.

Being a game developed by a single person naturally imposed some limitations, but I believe I’ve still managed to build a vibrant, engaging atmosphere filled with curious and unexpected details. One example is the "rotating tile" designed to let smoke escape—a feature inspired by an exhibit at the National Archaeological Museum of Viterbo that players can interact with in the game.

Talking with archaeologists I discovered that, while many agriculture techniques stayed the same across the millennia till few hundred years ago, there were also things very different. For this reason my goal is to recreate the farmlands as seen by a traveler of the time.
The two most visible examples are the ancient wheat, standing almost as tall as a man and the grapevines, grown on cords stretched between elm trees.
